Crystal is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. She received her Bachelors in psychology with a minor in sociology from Florida Atlantic University. She then went to the University of Florida where she completed a post bach program studying frontal lobe development and decision making across the lifespan. Crystal received her master’s degree from Nova Southeastern University where she graduated with a 4.0 GPA. Crystal has also completed training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. She has been working in the field of addiction for many years and understands the importance of working with people struggling from addiction as well as working with their families. Crystal understands the shame involved in the disease of addiction and the strength it takes to ask for help. As a therapist she utilizes an eclectic approach focused on meeting each individual’s needs. She understands the importance of compassion but also firm boundaries when working with people in early recovery. Crystal has learned not only from working in the field of recovery but from own life experiences, which has led to a passion for helping others.
